Exotic Automation & Supply, a Premier Parker Hannifin Distributor, announced today their World’s Largest Hydraulic Power Unit won the Michigan Manufacturer’s Association’s 2021 ‘Coolest Thing Made in Michigan’ award.

The Hydraulic Power Unit was determined the ‘Coolest Thing Made in Michigan’ after two rounds of voting open to Michigan residents. Exotic competed alongside nine other innovative Michigan-made products ranging from a patent-pending residential delivery receptor to potato chips.

“We want to thank everyone who voted our hydraulic power unit for the ‘Coolest Thing Made in Michigan’ award”. Steve Misiakowski, Engineering Director said. “We are grateful for the support from our employees, customers, vendors, friends, family and community.”

The World’s Largest Hydraulic Power Unit is capable of 4,800 horsepower with a maximum flow of 2,700 gallons per minute and a capacity of 18,000 gallons of hydraulic oil. The system is the only one in the world of its size.

This system consisted of 18,000 gallons. It is a massive, historical system and being recognized as the ‘Coolest Thing Made in Michigan’ is a tremendous achievement that we are very proud of.”
